Iben Akerlie To Co-Star In André Øvredal’s Mortal

Iben Akerlie (Mammon) has joined André Øvredal’s new movie Mortal, starring Nat Wolff and Priyanka Bose, a fantasy adventure about a young man who discovers that he has God-like powers based on ancient Norwegian mythology. In Mortal, Eric (Nat Wolff) is pursued by the police after his powers have resulted in death and tragedy. However, a psychologist (Iben Akerlie) who is brought in to help with the case, believes that he can control his powers and use them for good.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jamie Lannister in Game of Thrones, will appear in an episode of The Simpsons this autumn, entitled The Serfsons. Executive producer Matt Selman said that it is "a love letter to the fantasy genre of books and movies and TV shows. He plays a character not unlike Jamie. He has a surprising and sexy connection to one of the main characters. The part is more Needle than Longclaw — but no less deadly."

Susanne Bier (The Night Manager) is set to direct the movie Bird Box, a thriller set in a near future where a mysterious alien force has driven mankind to violence. The movie, written by Eric Heisserer based on a short story by Josh Painter Mann, follows a woman (Sandra Bullock) and two children on a a perilous journey along a river in a post-apocalyptic world.
