Pernilla August (The Legacy) and Armand Mirpour (Boys) lead a three part adaptation of Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s August Prize winning novel Everything I Don’t Remember (Allt jag inte minns) which premieres this September on SVT.
A young man named Samuel (Armand Mirpour) dies in a horrible car crash, but was it an accident or suicide? Determined to find out, a writer with an agenda of his own pieces together the narrative puzzle of Samuel’s last day alive. But whose memories can he trust, and what is hidden in what is not remembered?
Through conversations with friends, relatives, and neighbors, a portrait of Samuel emerges: the loving grandchild, the reluctant bureaucrat, the loyal friend, the contrived poseur. He would do anything for his girlfriend Laide (Siham Shurafa) and shared everything with his best friend Vandad (Pablo Leiva Wenger). That is until he lost touch with them both…
Everything I Don’t Remember, directed by Beata Gårdeler, begins 8th September on SVT1 with Pernilla August starring as Samuel’s mother, Gunilla.
