Two years have passed since the shocking events of season one, and Eva Thörnblad (Moa Gammel) has left Silverhöjd behind for the big city’s grey concrete and her work at Stockholm Police. However, Eva soon picks up a mysterious case that forces her to confront the mythological world she decided to leave.
Series creator, Henrik Björn, explains: “It was partly because we wanted to renew. We wanted to challenge ourselves and the audience. We thought that if there are such supernatural forces in Silverhöjd, then there must be other places too.”
Regarding a third season, Björn says: “Of course, we have plans for it – it would be strange not to. You can’t work in a bubble and just think about season two. But it kind of depends on the reception of this one before such a decision can be made.”
Season two of Jordskott premieres 15th October on SVT in Sweden, and 19th October on ITV Encore in the UK.
