C More has announced that filming has begun on Sthlm Requiem, a ten-part adaptation of Kristina Ohlsson’s best-selling Bergman & Recht crime novels set in the shadows of Stockholm.
Sthlm Requiem follows criminologist Fredrika Bergman (Liv Mjønes) who, after a tragic car accident, begins working with the police as an investigative analyst. Her skills are soon recognised by Inspector Alex Recht (Jonas Karlsson), and soon they are working together in a fight against cruel violence and unspeakable evil on the dark streets of Stockholm.
Kristina Ohlsson said: “It’s a dream for all authors to have one’s books adapted… The cast seems really good and Liv Mjönes is perfect for the role of Fredrika. I look forward to sitting in front of the TV on the day of its premiere.”
C More Head Of Drama, Josefine Tengblad, added: “This project has been high on our wish list since the books came out. We have a creative team who have managed to create a spine-tingling series with high ambition and the cast is amazing!”
Directed by Karin Fahlén and Lisa Ohlin, Sthlm Requiem is written by Jörgen Hjerdt and Pauline Wolff. It will premiere on C More in 2019 and air later on TV4.
