22 July Leads Nominees For 2020 Gullruten Awards

The 2020 Gullruten Awards, which pays tribute to the Norwegian television industry, was originally scheduled to take place on 9th May at the Grieghallen in Bergen, but was subsequently postponed due to the Coronavirus crisis.

However, TV2 has announced that the awards ceremony will now go ahead at the Clarion Hotel Oslo on 19th June, with Sigrid Bonde Tusvik and Morten Hegseth to present as originally planned.

NRK drama 22 July, about the 2011 terrorist attack in Norway, leads the pack with nominations not only for Best Drama, but also two actors (Øyvind Brandtzæg and Ane Skumsvoll) for Best Actor and two for Best Supporting Actor (Gard Skagestad and Hamza Kader).

Winner of the 4th Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize for excellence in screenwriting, 22 July offers a fictional account of those who were affected by the horrors inflicted by far-right extremist Anders Behring Breivik on the streets of Oslo, the island of Utøya, and the nation as a whole.
