Viaplay has announced eight-part crime thriller Max Anger – With One Eye Open, based on the first book in the bestselling trilogy by Martin Österdahl, about former Special Ops soldier Max Anger’s (Adam Lundgren) hunt for his missing Russian colleague and lover Pashie (Evin Ahmad).
Max goes in search of Pashie when she disappears without a trace in St Petersburg, leading to the discovery of a conspiracy that could change the world order. However, it turns out that her disappearance is also connected to his own secret past. Max needs help so he calls in local taxi driver Mira and together they must find Pashie before it’s too late if they are to end the conspiracy.
The cast also includes Joel Spira (Thicker Than Water), Johan Rheborg (Solsidan), Linus Wahlgren (Partisan), Malin Crépin (When The Dust Settles) and Lithuanian rising star Ieva Andrejevaitė.
Viaplay Chief Content Officer, Filippa Wallestam, said: “It is incredibly exciting that to have the the opportunity to film Matin Österdahl’s thriller about Max Anger.
