Alex Confirmed For Second Season On Viaplay

Viaplay thriller Alex, coming soon to Walter Presents in the UK, has been confirmed for a second season with Dragomir Mrsic (Easy Money) to reprise his leading role.

In season one, ruthless and corrupt cop Alex (Dragomir Mrsic) decided to go straight, but his dubious connections refused to let him off the hook, spelling danger for both him and his family. Meanwhile, Alex was assigned a new partner (Rakel Värmländer) who was intent on taking him down.

Head of Viaplay, Alexander Bastin, said: “Viaplay’s strategy for original productions is to create the best Nordic content and Alex is a prime example of the kind of entertainment that our viewers across the Nordic region love. We are pleased to finally confirm that the series will continue with a long-awaited second season.”

Alex season two, written by Frans Wiklund and directed by Alain Darborg, begins filming in Göteborg at the end of 2018 and premieres on Viaplay across the Nordic region in 2019.
