Alexander Skarsgård In Hold The Dark On Netflix

Based on the novel by William Giraldi, Jeremy Saulnier’s new movie Hold the Dark, starring Alexander Skarsgård and Riley Keough, is now available to stream on Netflix.

Retired naturalist and wolf expert Russell Core (Jeffrey Wright) journeys to the edge of civilization in northern Alaska at the pleading of Medora Slone (Riley Keough), a young mother whose son was killed by a pack of wolves.

But when Medora’s husband Vernon (Alexander Skarsgård) returns home from the Iraq War, the news of his child’s death ignites a violent chain of events as he embarks on a vengeful rampage.

In an interview with Build, Alexander Skarsgård said: “I was haunted by Vernon Sloan after reading the script and I felt like if I can’t escape him maybe I can be him, so that’s why I wanted to do this.”

“It’s an amazing world. The mythology behind it is interesting but it’s also very surprising which I love… You think, oh, it’s man versus nature… It’s like a man fighting himself out there, but then it goes in a completely different direction.”
