Christiansen Stars In Ildiko Enyedi’s Story of My Wife

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Anders Baasmo Christiansen (Kon-Tiki) will star alongside Léa Seydoux (Spectre) in an English language adaptation of Milan Fust’s Hungarian literary classic, The Story of My Wife, to be written and directed by Oscar nominee Ildiko Enyedi (On Body and Soul).

Set in the 1920s, Captain Jacob Storr (Anders Baasmo Christiansen) returns from sea and joins his friend in a cafe where he bets that he will marry the first woman to walk in. Lizzy (Léa Seydoux) enters, and soon they are married.

As the story progresses, Captain Storr becomes concerned that his young wife is being unfaithful. But for every scenario that suggests infidelity, there are equally deceptive and valid reasons why he might be mistaken.

The Story of My Wife begins folming next year in Paris, Hamburg, Budapest and southern Italy.
