Anna Friel Returns For Marcella Season Three

Variety reports that UK noir thriller Marcella, written by The Bridge creator Hans Rosenfeldt, will return to ITV and Netflix for an eight-part third season.
Set in contemporary London, Marcella centers on the psychological struggles of a Metropolitan police officer (Anna Friel) at a crisis point in her personal life, driven by rejection and intuition.
Returning to the Met’s Murder Squad after a 12-year break, Marcella gave up her fast-track career to marry and devote her life to starting a family. But with the abrupt end to her marriage and isolated from her children at boarding school, Marcella returns to work to stop herself from falling apart.
Producer Tony Wood told Variety: “Hans Rosenfeldt has proven himself to be a master storyteller in the English language over the past two seasons of Marcella, and it’s a real pleasure to be collaborating with him once again in the third season of this remarkable drama hit.”
Season three of Marcella is set to air in 2019.
