Baltasar Kormákur To Direct Arthur The King

Baltasar Kormákur (Trapped) will direct Mark Wahlberg in Arthur The King, an adaptation of Mikael Lindnord’s book Arthur: The Dog Who Crossed The Jungle To Find A Home.

While racing 435 miles through the jungles and mountains of Ecuador, Mikael Lindnord (Mark Wahlberg), captain of a Swedish adventure racing team, threw a meatball to a wounded stray dog. The next day, it followed the team as they left camp and refused to be left behind.

Crossing rivers, battling illness and injury, and struggling through some of the toughest terrain on the planet, the team and the dog walked together towards the finish line, where Mikael decided he would save Arthur and take him back to his family in Sweden, whatever it took.

Arthur The King is expected to begin filming early in 2020.
