BBC Four Picks Up Below The Surface For The UK

BBC Four has picked up UK rights to Danish hostage thriller Below The Surface (Gidseltagningen), created and directed by Kasper Barfoed (Dicte). It is expected to air in 2018.
In Below The Surface. fifteen people are held hostage in a subway train, and a terror taskforce led by Philip Norgaard (Johannes Lassen) and Louise Falk (Sara Hjort Ditlevsen) is dispatched to rescue them.
Meanwhile, reporter Naja Toft (Paprika Steen) acts as a go-between with the hostages and police and, as the media frenzy takes hold, the country becomes divided on whether to negotiate with the terrorists or not.
