Hanna Svensson is a police officer with high morals and firm principles. Two years ago she arrested her own son Christian for drug dealing. He has just served his sentence and no longer wants to know her. When her colleague and lover Sven disappears, Hanna discovers that he was running an undercover investigation of criminal biker gangs. Hanna doesn’t know who his mole is, but their SMS codename is ‘Inez’. Hanna soon realises that a brutal underworld takeover is taking place, and Inez is Hanna’s only hope of preventing it… and she must find Sven.
Hanna and Bjorn’s car chase with Sven’s abductor ends in a crash. The kidnappers get away with Sven, but how did they know that the police were on their way to the hideout? Hanna tries to extract some information from Inez that might lead them to Sven, without revealing that it is no longer Sven who is sending the text messages. Christian becomes more involved in the Mimica family business.
Sven manages to escape from his captors and alert his colleagues. But when they arrive, Sven has been shot. How could the killer know where Sven was hiding? Is there a leak in the department for organised crime? Hanna and Björn’s boss forms an inner circle of trust to minimise the risk of their infiltrator, Inez, also getting murdered. Meanwhile, when Davor threatens Christian he fears that he has been exposed.
Now Hanna, Björn and their chief Tina know that there’s a mole amongst their colleagues who reports everything back to the Mimica crime family. But who? Inez leads them to believe that the Mimicas are planing a takeover of the underworld. Davor started by making contact with the Mobsters biker gang. Now his diabolical plan is being put into action. Meanwhile, Christian’s friend Stefan suspects that his girlfriend, Blanka, has a lover – and he has a bullet with their name on it.
Stefan knows that his girlfriend Blanka has been cheating on him with his best friend Christian. Now he’s playing a dangerous game of cat and mouse with both of them. Davor leads Operation Krajina into a new phase, but an accidental shot from Stefan is about to jeopardise the entire operation. Hanna is determined to meet the infiltrator, but Inez doesn’t turn up for their meeting. Their paths will cross soon enough.
Now that Hanna knows that her own son is the infiltrator Inez, she wants to pull him out and end the investigation. But Christian wants to continue, despite the risk of being discovered. Operation Krajina is about to be implemented, and the diabolical plan is revealed. But Davor, the head of the Mimicas, has disappeared and only Christian knows where to look for him.
Davor gets some embarrassing information from his police source. Stefan has begun to persecute Christian for having an affair with his girlfriend Blanka, but then he discovers something much bigger: Christian’s meetings with Hanna. Christian and Hanna are suddenly invited for a family dinner at the Mimica’s villa.
Following the murder of Stefan, Christian is falling apart. When Hannah and Bjorn figure out that it was Christian who shot Stefan, they decide to pick up him up. But Davor has other plans for Christian. Now he is a part of Operation Krajina, and one step closer to revealing Davor’s diabolical plan.
Now Hannah, Björn and Tina know what Operation Krajina is all about. The Mimicas are going to smuggle massive amounts of heroin into Sweden by ship and a mini-submarine. They find out that Majmun is to take delivery of the drugs, but they don’t know where. Christian, who has been suffering from panic attacks since Stefan’s murder, is asked to place a tracking device on Majmun’s motorcycle. Blanka makes a shocking discovery on Davor’s computer.
When Blanka finds the footage of Sven being tortured on Davor’s computer, she realises that Christian is in danger. But does her loyalty lie with her family or with Christian? When Hannah arrives at the boathouse with her colleagues, where they expect the heroin to be delivered, she receives a text message that changes everything.
