Berlinale Celebrates Nordic Film And TV Composers

On Sunday 18th February, Nordic Film Music Days will present a full day of networking and workshops for music professionals at the Nordic Embassies as part of this year’s Berlinale, culminating in a ceremony for the 8th HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award.

THE NOMINEES:
Kristian Eidnes Andersen (Denmark) for Sami Blood (Sameblod), directed by Amanda Kernell.​
Miska Seppa and Juri Seppä (Finland) for Tatu & Patu, directed by Rike Jokela.
Daníel Bjarnason (Iceland) for Under the Tree (Undir trénu), directed by Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurðsson.
Henrik Skram (Norway) for Snowfall (Snøfall), directed by Synne Teksum.
Björn Olsson (Sweden) for The Giant (Jätten), directed by Johannes Nyholm.

The award will be deliberated by an international jury of peers consisting of: Christine Aufderhaar (Bella Block) from Switzerland, Brian Satterwhite (Artois The Goat) from the USA, and Nuno Freire Malo (Amália) from Portugal.

The winner will be presented with a statuette designed by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson. Last year it went to Sune Martin for Land Of Mine (Under sandet), directed by Martin Zandvliet.
