Bill Skarsgård Set For Stephen King’s Castle Rock
Bill Skarsgård, who recently starred as Pennywise the clown in horror blockbuster IT, will next appear Stateside in Stephen King’s latest venture, Castle Rock for Hulu in 2018.
The ten-part series is a psychological-horror set in the Stephen King multiverse which weaves together an epic saga of darkness and light, played out over a few square miles of Maine woodland.
The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption.
Castle Rock will unite the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories. Bill Skarsgård’s character has yet to be announced, but his appearance in the trailer suggests that it will be a prominent role.
