Birgitte Hjort Sørensen Hostage In Greyzone Thriller

TV2 Denmark has announced that Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Borgen) will lead new ten part thriller Greyzone, written by Oskar Söderlund (The Fat & The Angry) and Morten Dragsted (Heartless), which begins filming in June.

Greyzone follows drone engineer Victoria (Sørensen) who is taken hostage in her own home leading up to a planned terrorist attack in Scandinavia, which the intelligence services in Denmark and Sweden are working hard to prevent.

The Danish / Swedish ensemble cast includes Joachim Fjelstrup (Itsi Bitsi) Tova Magnusson (The Bridge), Ardalan Esmaili (Rebecka Martinsson), Karin Franz Körlöf (Blue Eyes) and Johan Rabaeus (Under the Pyramid).

Producer, Rasmus Thorsen, says: “Greyzone is an original story that we have built from scratch over several years… It is an international series on a theme that affects us all. A story in which we look into the very heart of what makes us human.”

Filming is set for June through to December in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Frankfurt, with its premiere slated for spring 2018 on TV2 in Denmark and C More in Sweden.
