Black Widows To Return For Second Season In 2017

MTG has confirmed that Black Widows, a remake of Finnish hit Mustat Lesket, will return to TV3 and ViaPlay for a second season in 2017.
Black Widows stars Synnöve Macody Lund, Cecilia Forss, and Beate Bille as three girlfriends who conspire to kill their husbands. They arrange a well-timed explosion and expect to carry on with their lives in peace and quiet. But nothing is quite as they imagined, and they are drawn into a spiral of lies and crimes.
Karin Starry, Program Director of MTG Sweden, said in a press release:
“Many viewers have wondered when it will continue after the exciting end to the last episode and want to know what will happen next with the widows. Therefore, it feels great to finally be able to confirm that there will be a second season with all three protagonists.”
Black Widows season 2 is scheduled to begin filming this autumn ahead of its premiere in spring 2017.
