Connie Nielsen To Star In New CBS Drama F.B.I.

Connie Nielsen, who currently stars in Liberty on DR1, has signed up for a lead role in Dick Wolf’s thirteen-part CBS drama F.B.I. about the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Nielsen will play Ellen, FBI Special Agent in Charge, who is described as an elegant, cultured and deeply respected boss who is under enormous pressure – political, public, and self-imposed.
Ellen’s effectiveness stems from being highly organised and disarmingly direct. She will do anything for her agents if they earn her respect, and is impossible to intimidate.
The pilot episode of F.B.I. is written by Craig Turk, who also serves as showrunner, and will be directed by Niels Oplev (Millennium). The series is slated to premiere on CBS in the 2018-19 season.
