Conspiracy Of Silence In The Swedish Arms Trade

Viaplay has announced Ingen utan skuld (Conspiracy Of Silence), a new eight-part political thriller written by Peter Arrhenius (Welcome to Sweden) about the Swedish arms trade.

Jens Hultén (Johan Falk) plays Robert Kastell, a former arms dealer forced into exile who returns to Sweden seeking revenge on the man who tried to kill him. Through this central story, the series will explore layers of complex moral issues from the authorities through to the individual.

Writer, Peter Arrhenius says: “Ingen utan skuld is a story of double standards and guilt. The main characters are tied to each other by the fact that they have all made bad choices that they regret, but which cannot be undone.”

“Sweden is a major part of the international arms industry. It is the perfect setting for a story of this type. On the one hand, you have the country’s international reputation as a neutral peacekeeper, free of any alliances. On the other hand, is the fact that Sweden is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and exporters of weapons.”

Conspiracy Of Silence, directed by Charlotte Brändström, will premiere next year across the Nordic region exclusively on Viaplay, and will air later on TV3.
