Danica Curcic Joins Mothers Group For Laughs

Zentropa has announced that Danica Curcic (Darling) will star in Mødregruppen (The Mothers Group), a feature length comedy directed by Charlotte Sachs Bostrup (Kartellet) about a spoilt upper class mother forced to return to her provincial roots.
New mother Line (Danica Curcic) is living the high life in Hong Kong with husband Bjørn (Anders W. Berthelsen) when she discovers that he has been unfaithful to her with their Filipino nanny, so Line takes her baby son and heads back to her old hometown in southern Funen.
Bjørn retaliates by cutting off Line’s finances and demands his son back, leaving her in danger of losing everything. As Line contends with her husband and tries to adjust to provincial life, she reconnects with cousin Maja (Julie Agnete Vang) and finds support from the local mothers group.
The mother’s group comprises Marijana Jankovic, Lærke Winther, Martin Buch and Stephanie León. The cast also includes Martin Høgsted, Henning Valin, Henrik Birch and Ditte Hansen.
Producer Sisse Graum Jørgensen said: “We are very proud of the star team we have assembled both in front of and behind the camera, and now we are looking forward to getting started with filming at Funen and in Copenhagen.”
Mødregruppen begins filming 16th July, mainly around Faaborg, Ringe and Aarup, and is slated for a theatrical release on 7th February 2019.
