Prima ballerina Darling returns to Denmark with her husband/choreographer Franz after several years abroad, to bring Giselle to The Royal Theatre. But, during rehearsals Darling has a serious injury that brings her career to a standstill.
She decides to train her replacement, Polly, as Giselle but as Polly becomes the centre of Franz’ attention, Darling’s emotional stability begins to unravel.
