David F. Sandberg To Direct Next DC Movie Shazam!

In an interview with Kevin Smith for IMDB at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that David F. Sandberg (Lights Out) will direct the next movie set in the DC Extended Universe, Shazam! Production will begin in early 2018.

The film follows young Billy Batson, who is gifted with the power of the wizard Shazam to fight the forces of evil. With the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles and the speed of Mercury, he is Captain Marvel.
