Dicte Renewed For Season 3

Hit Danish crime procedural Dicte has been granted a third season, with filming to begin on October 19th. UK viewers can look forward to watching the series from the very beginning in early 2016 as it has been picked up by Channel 4 as part of the Walter Presents foreign language strand.
Dicte follows recently divorced crime reporter Dicte Svendsen (Iben Hjejle) as she returns to the small town of Aarhus with her daughter. The series is based on the Elsebeth Egholm’s series of novels, and averaged an audience of over 1.2 million for Season 1 when it premiered on TV2 Danmark, giving it a viewing share of 49%, although that slipped to an average of 836.000 for Season 2. Joining the cast for Season 3 will be Søren Malling (Borgen) and Stine Stengade (Kiras Reason).
Head of Drama for TV 2 Denmark, Katrine Vogelsang, said: “We are so happy to be able to present a new season of Dicte. The Danish viewers love the character of Dicte and the series has performed fantastically in TV 2’s prime time slot on Monday nights. In Denmark, we measure the viewers’ evaluations of the individual episodes, and we are very proud to find Dicte at the top of all Danish TV series.”
