Filming Begins On New TV2 Crime Thriller Borderliner

Norway’s TV2 has announced that its new eight-part crime thriller Borderliner, starring Tobias Santelmann (Kon-Tiki) and Ellen Dorrit Petersen (Frikjent), has begun filming and will air in autumn 2017.
Borderliner follows police officer Nikolai Andreassen (Tobias Santelmann), who is asked to investigate a suicide in his home town. He soon realises that this is a murder not a suicide, and is faced with a dilemma that, against his better judgement, forces him into a moral maze between right and wrong.
TV2 Head Of Drama, Christopher Haug, said in a statement: “TV 2 drama is constantly looking for the best stories. So we are extremely pleased to be starting production on Borderliner.”
“The series is well written, and has a gripping storyline that our viewers can look forward to. Borderliner addresses interesting dilemmas that we are not unfamiliar with in today’s Norway, and the characters in the series are both complex and interesting.”
Borderliner will be filming in Oslo and Halden through until next summer, and premieres on TV2 in autumn 2017.
