First Trailer Reveals Serial Killer Soap Lyckoviken

Viaplay has released a trailer for Lyckoviken, a modern soap with a serial killer on the loose, written by Camilla Läckberg (Fjällbacka Murders).

Set in the small community of Hammarvik, the series follows police officer Johanna (Disa Östrand) who returns to her home town for her mother’s funeral but, when the body of a young woman is found in the boot of a car, Johanna is drawn into the investigation and confronted by old memories, conflicts and relationships.

Camilla Läckberg said: “I have wanted to make a modern soap opera for a very long time, so Lyckoviken is a dream come true for me. Moreover, I am incredibly proud that I have got some of Sweden’s very best actors on board.”

The stellar cast includes Christopher Wollter (Honour), Daniel Adolfsson (The Bridge), Ia Langhammer (The Truth Will Out), Alexander Karim (The Lawyer), Ashkan Ghods (Johan Falk), Lars Väringer (Alex) and Amanda Lindh (Bonus Family).

Lyckoviken will premiere 20th October on Viaplay across the Nordic region, consisting of sixteen episodes divided into two seasons.
