FLX Acquires Rights To Financial Thriller Fartblinda

Swedish production house FLX, known for hits such as Boy Machine, Torpederna and Solsidan has acquired the TV rights for Carolina Neurath’s thriller Fartblinda (Speed Blind) inspired by her experience as a financial journalist for Svenska Dagbladet.

Neurath said in a press release: “There was great interest from the film world even before the book was released. Many had read the script but, after a number of meetings, FLX felt like the obvious choice. I look forward to seeing the result of the television series in the next few years.”

Fartblinda tells the story of financial journalist Beatrice Farkas who has been investigating some of the country’s most powerful financiers. One night she receives a text message to say that one of her best sources has fallen from a balcony to their death. Kvällspressen reports it as a suicide, but she is not convinced.

Pontus Edgren, MD at FLX said that it will be a “modern television series set in Stockholm’s financial world… with its power games, hidden agendas and conflicts between new and more conservative outlooks.”
