Game Of Thrones Season Eight Confirmed For 2019

HBO has officially confirmed that the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones, which stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, will not air until 2019.
Season eight began production in October and is set to continue until August 2018. It will consist of six episodes written by series creators David Benioff and D.B.Weiss, with Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill.
Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos Seaworth, told TV Guide: “[The episodes are] definitely going to be bigger and what I hear is longer… [Previously] we’d have six months to do ten episodes, so we’re [doing] way more than that for six episodes. So that obviously will translate into longer episodes.”
Directors for the new season are David Benioff & D.B.Weiss, along with David Nutter, who directed season five finale Mother’s Mercy, and Miguel Sapochnik, who won an Emmy for Battle Of The Bastards in season six.
