Guldbagge Nominees Revealed For 2020
On Wednesday, the contenders were revealed for the 2020 Guldbagge Awards, which celebrates outstanding achievements in the Swedish film industry.
Two films lead the field with seven nominations each: And Then We Danced, about a young dancer whose world is turned upside down when a new rival becomes his strongest desire; and Quick, the story of Hannes Råstam who sacrificed everything to unmask the legal chaos that sentenced a man to life in a psychiatric facility;
Meanwhile, two films are close behind with six nominations: 438 Days, the true story of a journalist and a photographer who were sentenced to an Ethiopian prison for terrorism; and Swoon, about two amusement park heirs whose love and loyalty is put to the test by their warring families.
The 2020 Gudbagge Awards will be presented by Emma Molin (Grotesco) during a gala ceremony at Cirkus in Stockholm on 20th January, broadcast live on SVT.
