Heartless is a bold and intense story about fate, family ties and daring to believe in love. With Julie Zangenberg and Sebastian Jessen in the lead roles, Heartless takes place at a boarding school where past and present, reality and fantasy, and life and death merge in a supernatural drama.
Siblings Sophie and Sebastian carry a dark and fatal secret. In order to survive they must feed on the life force of other people, and if they do not stop in time then their sacrifice will burn up. Sofie and Sebastian’s search for answers as to why they are the way that they are leads them to the gloomy boarding school Ottmannsgaard, which is under the control of strict headmaster Just (Nicholaj Copernicus) and ruthless alpha male Ditlev.
At the boarding school a new life begins for the siblings, but they both struggle with their emotions as they experience their first serious love affairs, whilst also having to resist their urges to suck energy from the other students.
But Sophie and Sebastian are not the only ones at Ottmannsgaard who carry a dark secret. Oozing up from between the boarding school’s old floorboards is a dark and terrible history. A history that goes back to the year 1666 involving sin and forgiveness, life and death, and love and mystical powers. It might also be the answer that Sophie and Sebastian are looking for.
