Ida Elise Broch To Investigate Fenris Mystery

Viaplay has announced its latest Norwegian Original, Fenris, an intense six-part drama starring Ida Elise Broch (Home For Christmas) about the mysterious disappearance of a young boy in a remote, wolf-inhabited forest on the Swedish border.
When a young boy from a small Norwegian town vanishes, there are immediately rumours that wolves are responsible. Visiting biologist Emma Salomonsen (Ida Elise Broch) discovers the boy’s bloody jacket at the home of her father Marius (Magnus Krepper), a controversial wolf researcher. But when Marius disappears too, Emma is forced to rely on her own instincts and understanding of wolves to uncover the dark truth.
The cast also includes Cengiz Al (Three Wishes for Cinderella), Helena Ødven (ZombieLars), Jan Gunnar Røise (Pørni), Viljar Knutsen Bjaadal (Nødt eller sannhet), Ingjerd Egeberg (Downsizing) and John Emil Jørgensrud (Novemberoslo).
Ida Elise Broch said: “I was totally engrossed when I first read the script. It was so exciting that I just couldn’t put it down. Emma is an enigma and reminds me a little of Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, whom I’ve played on stage: unapproachable and extremely complex.”
Viaplay Chief Content Officer, Filippa Wallestam, added: “In this memorable series, the beautiful Nordic forests become a nightmarish labyrinth as soon as night falls. Likewise, there’s a hidden side to each of the characters. Figuring out who to trust and exactly what happened in Fenris will keep Viaplay viewers around the world guessing all the way.”
Fenris, created and directed by Simen Alsvik (Ragnarok) is set to premiere on Viaplay across the Nordic region in 2022.
