Global Intrigue For Pros & Cons Season Two

Viaplay has announced that Pros & Cons (Friheden), a comedy-drama starring Lars Ranthe and Lene Maria Christensen as semi-reformed fraudsters playing happy families, will return for a second season later this year.
When the series returns, it will once again revolve around the tug of war between a safe, boring, family life, and the high octane world of a grifter. But this time it will be a rollercoaster ride all the way from the Copenhagen suburbs through to China, with a whistlestop tour of the French beauty industry and geopolitical power struggles across the Arctic.
Producer, Meta Louise Foldager Sørensen, said: “Friheden is a series that taps directly into the Danish soul. It reflects everyday life with groceries and homework, which we all love and hate, and where the dream of a Lotto win gives us an escape from this reality.”
“However, in the second season of Friheden we take a wider view, which also touches upon some global themes that characterise our time, whilst of course maintaining its distinctive Danish tone and humour.”
Pros & Cons season two is written by Thor Bjørn Krebs and Mikkel Serup and will premiere on Viaplay across the Nordic region towards the end of 2020. The first season has been picked up by SBS in Australia, Canal+ in France and Topic in the US and Canada.
