International Trailer Released For Neon Heart

An international trailer has been released for Laurits Flensted-Jensen’s debut feature Neon Heart, which premieres 26th September at the 66th San Sebastian Festival where it competes for the Kutxabank New Directors Award.
Neon Heart is a story about three people chasing life and each other. Laura (Victoria Carmen Sonne) is on her way to a porn film casting. Niklas is trying to take care of two men with Down’s Syndrome, and Frederik is out to gain respect as a hooligan. In fragments of the past and present, we follow the protagonists on a journey of taboos and desires.
Laurits Flensted-Jensen told Variety: “I want to create an expression as authentic as possible and make the line between fiction and reality disappear. This places the audience inside a situation where they may feel slightly uncomfortable from time to time.”
In 2013 Laurits Flensted-Jensen’s film school graduation piece Snow was selected for the Rotterdam Film Festival and was chosen as best documentary short by the Danish Academy. In 2015, his fictional short Melon Rainbow won Best Danish Short Film at the Odense Film Festival and screened at the SXSW Festival in Austin.
