Johannes Brost Obituary
SVT reports that Swedish actor Johannes Brost has died of cancer at 71 years of age.
His family said: “With deep sadness, we announce that actor Johannes Brost has left us. Surrounded by family, he fell asleep at Skåne University Hospital in Lund on January 4, 2018 after a period of illness… He fought hard and for a long time, but was unable to beat the cancer.”
Johannes Brost is best known as bartender Joker in the soap opera Rederiet, where he appeared in 318 episodes between 1992 and 2002. Later, his talents were rewarded with a Guldbagge for Best Actor in the 2011 movie Avalon.
His final role was in 2017 as Sievert Lindberg in the mini series Miss Frimans War.
