Dregs begins with a police report giving the place and time of the discovery of a training shoe washed up on the sand, still containing a severed foot from the victim’s body.
Soon a second shoe is washed up, but it is another left. Then another, and yet another. Altogether four left feet in the course of one week. Police Inspector William Wisting has many years of murder experience behind him, but he has never examined evidence like this. Four feet… from four different victims?
