Jørn Lier Horst To Headline At Krimfestivalen 2017

Jørn Lier Horst has been announced as festival author for the 7th Crime Festival (Krimfestivalen) in Oslo which runs from 9th to 11th March 2017. Also named as guest speakers are Jussi Adler-Olsen from Denmark, Camilla Läckberg from Sweden, and John Hart from the USA.

Krimfestivalen 2017 will be held from Thursday 9th March to Saturday 11th March next year, and was named as one of the world’s best crime writing festivals by The Guardian in 2013.

The aim of Krimfestivalen is to explore the distinctive nature of Nordic crime and view it with an international perspective. There will be author interviews, panel discussions, lectures, quizzes and more, and all events are free.

This year’s festival author, Jørn Lier Horst, is best known for his William Wisting novels which draw inspiration from his previous role as Senior Investigating Officer for Larvik Police. However, he also writes the Clue series for younger readers and Detective No. 2 for children, so a special event for children led by Lier Horst is planned for Saturday March 11th.

The other names confirmed for Krimfestivalen 2017 are: Jussi Adler-Olsen, whose Department Q series has set box office records in Denmark; Camilla Läckberg, whose Fjällbacka mysteries have delivered six Swedish No. 1 bestsellers; and John Hart, who has won two Edgar Allan Poe Awards for Best Novel.
