Justin Theroux Joins Netflix Remake Of Maniac

Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) has been cast in a guest starring role for the remake of Norwegian comedy Maniac, which has been given a ten episode straight-to-series order by Netflix.

The original TV2 series follows the adventures of Espen (Espen Lervåg) and his friend Håkon (Håkon Bast Mossige), who exists only in Espen’s head. They live quite happily together until psychologist Mina (Ingeborg Raustøl) arrives on the scene to treat Espen’s illness.

The remake will star Jonah Hill as a patient at a psychiatric facility with Emma Stone as his psychologist, whilst details of Justin Theroux’s role have yet to be released. The show will be directed by Cary Fukunaga (True Detective).
