Kyle MacLachlan Signs Up For Atlantic Crossing

Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) will play President Franklin D. Roosevelt alongside Sofia Helin (The Bridge) as Crown Princess Märtha of Norway in eight-part WWII drama Atlantic Crossing (Alt for Norge).

Atlantic Crossing is an inspiring story of how Crown Princess Märtha of Norway escaped from Nazi occupation to become an influential figure in world politics, living in the White House and determined to convince President Roosevelt to join the war.

Director Alexander Eik told NRK: “My knowledge of Kyle MacLachlan started with his feature film debut Dune, which I saw when I was 12 years old. So it’s a joy and an honor to now get the opportunity to work with an actor whose name and work has long been written into film history and which is an important part of my personal movie canon.”

Atlantic Crossing begins production this December in the Czech Republic, and moves on to Norway in February. It is slated to premiere on NRK in 2021.
