Lars Mikkelsen Fights Devils In Financial Thriller
Lars Mikkelsen stars as a man on the run trying to expose the banking sector in forthcoming thriller Devils, a series based on the novel I Diavoli by Guido Maria Brera which has now been sold to 160 territories worldwide.
Massimo Ruggeri (Alessandro Borghi) is the ruthless and ambitious Head of Trading at an investment bank. But when the hidden agenda of his mentor and CEO, Dominic Morgan (Patrick Dempsey), draws Massimo into an inter-continental financial war, he is forced to choose between standing behind Dominic or stopping him.
Meanwhile, financial freedom fighter Daniel Duval (Lars Mikkelsen) is waging an anarchic war on the established economic system by sharing key documents online. Powerful financiers will stop at nothing to prevent Daniel from revealing their secrets, forcing him to go on the run as the entire world looks for him.
Lars Mikkelsen told Ritzau: “He is in many ways reminiscent of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. He is determined to show the world the truth and is willing to sacrifice everything for his cause.”
Devils will air on Sky Atlantic in the UK this summer and other territories include Russia (AMedia TV); Latin America (Universal TV); Africa (Showmax); India (Eros); Netherlands (RTL), and Denmark / Sweden (C More).
