Lisa Langseth’s Euphoria Selected For TIFF Platform

Lisa Langseth’s latest feature Euphoria, starring Alicia Vikander and Eva Green, has been selected as one of twelve films to compete in the Platform section of the Toronto International Film Festival (7 – 17 September), which showcases original voices in contemporary cinema.

Euphoria, which receives its world premiere at the festival, is the story of two sisters on a journey as they try to get close to each other and tackle the tough questions in life. It’s a contemporary drama about responsibility and reconciliation, in a world where these concepts are gradually being lost.

Director and CEO of TIFF, Piers Handling, said: “The films unveiled today embody our bold vision for the programme, and our ongoing commitment to showcase artistic and inventive directors that fearlessly push boundaries.”

The competition will be judged by a panel which reflects original thinking in cinema (Wim Wenders, Chen Kaige and Malgorzata Szumowska), and the winner will receive $25,000 CAD at the awards ceremony on 17th September 2017.
