Love Me Season Two Premiere Announced

Viaplay has announced that Love Me (Älska mig), written and directed by Josephine Bornebusch (Solsidan), will return for a second season of friendship, grief, liberation and romance on 13th September.

Clara (Josephine Bornebusch) is a successful doctor who meets model Peter (Sverrir Gudnason) through internet dating, and as the second season opens they are trying to get pregnant. Meanwhile, her father Sten (Johan Ulveson) has found love with Anita (Görel Crona) after the death of his wife Kersti (Ia Langhammer), and Gustav Lindh returns as Clara’s brother Aron who is now in a relationship with Jenny (Sofia Karemyr).

Viaplay Head Of Content, Filippa Wallestam, said: “Many fell in love with the first season of Love Me. So I’m incredibly proud that we can now bring our viewers an even better second season, if that’s possible, where we get to know the characters much better. Their relationship faces new challenges, and it is impossible to tear yourself away, because you want each of them to find happiness.”

Josephine Bornebusch added: “It always feels a little scary to make a sequel… This season there will be some new characters played by Ulf Stenberg, Alexander Abdallah, Anders Mossling and Julia Marko Nord among others. But what they all have in common is that they create even more chaos in the already quite messy lives of Clara, Sten and Aron.”
