Love & Order Dominates At Golden Venla Awards
Three-part drama Love & Order (Myrskyn jälkeen) dominated the Golden Venla Awards at the Finnish National Opera House on Friday, with wins for Best Drama, Best Director (Leea Klemola) and Best Script (Leea Klemola, Kaarina Hazard).
Love & Order (Myrskyn jälkeen) stars Kaarina Hazard as Inspector Rauni Kolehmainen, who tries to keep the world from falling apart six months after a gigantic storm devastated Finland. It is the second drama to be co-written by Hazard and Klemola, and their previous collaboration, Silver Stars, won Best Drama at the Prix Europa in 2008.
The Golden Venla for Best Actor was presented to Eero Ritala for his role in Onnela, a Finnish remake of hit Swedish comedy Solsidan. It follows Antti (Eero Ritala) and his pregnant partner Saara (Elena Leeve), who move to the suburbs and the middle class dream soon turns into a nightmare.
