Lyckoviken Season Two Premiere Announced

Viaplay has announced that soapy serial killer thriller Lyckoviken, written by Camilla Läckberg (Fjällbacka Murders), will return for an eight-part second season in January 2021.

In season two, police officer Johanna (Disa Östrand) continues the murder investigation but the case constantly takes new and unexpected turns, and soon it seems impossible to trust anyone. Then matters are complicated further when her Johanna’s friend Madelene (Lisa Henni) returns, having been presumed dead for 18 years.

Meanwhile, Johanna’s relationship with her childhood sweetheart Danne (Martin Stenmarck) is put to the test when he is torn between her and his wife Pernilla (Linda Santiago). Who will he choose – or who will eventually choose him? And the biggest question of all: who is the serial killer in Hammarvik?

Series regulars returning for season two also include Christopher Wollter (Honour), Daniel Adolfsson (The Bridge),  Ashkan Ghods (Johan Falk), Lars Väringer (Alex) and Amanda Lindh (Bonus Family).

Camilla Läckberg said: “I am incredibly happy about the fantastic response that Lyckoviken has received and that so many have watched the series. Now I long so much to be able to share season two with viewers. I actually dare to promise that next season will offer even more excitement, drama, love and intrigue.”

Lyckoviken season two premieres 19th January 2021, with two episodes made available on Viaplay across the Nordic region and the first episode to be broadcast on TV3 in Sweden at 9pm.
