Max Anger Finds Action & Intrigue In Russia

Adam Lundgren (The Restaurant) and Evin Ahmad (Beyond Dreams) will lead eight-part action thriller Max Anger, adapted by Mikael Newihl (The Lawyer) from the first book in the best-selling trilogy by Martin Österdahl.

A man scarred by battle and a mysterious past, Max Anger (Adam Lundgren) finally has a shot at a peaceful life when he falls for Pashie (Evin Ahmad), his colleague at Russia-focused think tank Vektor. But when she suddenly disappears, Max is plunged into a world of crime, corruption and international intrigue in St. Petersburg, where the fates of both Pashie and an entire country hang in the balance.

Viaplay Chief Content Officer, Filippa Wallestam, said: “Martin Österdahl witnessed history in the making when he lived in Russia during the tumultuous 1990s, and his globally successful books build on his first-hand knowledge of this fascinating country.”

“This international action thriller has a wonderfully talented and passionate team both in front and behind the camera… Now I just want to fast forward to the premiere so we can invite viewers to see the end result.”

Max Anger, directed by Lisa Farzaneh (Quicksand) and Jesper W. Nielsen (Greyzone), is set to premiere on Viaplay across the Nordic region towards the end of 2021.
