Based on Stieg Larsson’s literary phenomenon, the Millenium trilogy follows the fragile alliance of hacker Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist. Edited versions were released theatrically, but the complete stories were released on DVD and Blu-ray as Dragon Tattoo Trilogy: Extended Edition.
In The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Blomkvist and Salander unite to solve the case of a missing girl. As they dig into the past of a secretive and dysfunctional family, they unravel a dark and appalling truth which sets them on course to become targets themselves.
In The Girl Who Played With Fire, Blomkvist is intent on exposing a sex trafficking ring when two of his researchers are murdered, and Salander is framed for the crimes. Blomkvist tries to clear her name and find the real killers, but Salander goes on the run and stumbles into secrets of her own past that some would kill to keep hidden.
In The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest, Salander is under police guard in hospital, awaiting trial for murder. She must rely on Blomkvist to prove her innocence and expose the political cover up that threatens to destroy her freedom.
