C More has announced that a third season of critically acclaimed thriller Gåsmamman (Mother Goose) will soon begin filming in Stockholm ahead of its premiere in autumn 2017 on C More followed by Kanal 5 in spring 2018.
In Gåsmamman, Sonja (Alexandra Rapaport) lives a carefree life with her beloved family, and her husband Frederick’s marijuana business gives the family a comfortable income. But one day Sonja’s world is shattered and she is forced to play a dangerous game with both organised crime and the police to protect her children.
Executive producer and star, Alexandra Rapaport, said: “It is very exciting to get started with a third season after spending so much time, energy and passion on Gåsmamman over the past year.”
“It feels fantastic that we are the same team that will continue to work together on this – we have already come a long way with the script, and I can promise that there is much for the fans to look forward to.”
Axel Eriksson at Discovery Networks Sweden said: “We are incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to step into a new season of Gåsmamman. Locally produced drama is a fundamental part of our content strategy moving forward and the team behind Gåsmamman led by Alexandra are a very important part of that strategy.”
