Naval Drama Finding Home Begins Filming In Funen
Filming has begun in Funen on four-part TV2 naval drama Finding Home (Håbet), directed by Christian E. Christiansen.
Set in 1899, Marie (Anine Lindvig) lives in an orphanage with her two little siblings, Karl and Sofie. Their father has not been home from sea in three years, and everyone but Marie believes him to be dead.
She sneaks down to the harbour with an old, worn photo of her father in hopes of finding someone or something that can lead her to him. In her quest, disguised as a boy, Marie eventually boards the good ship Håbet bound for Norway.
TV2 Head Of Drama, Katrine Vogelsang, says: “Håbet is a great story about a young girl’s struggle to break free from the fate that society at the time had for her, and instead becomes a strong and independent woman. It’s a compelling story about finding oneself and growing up.”
The cast includes: Lars Brygmann (Dicte), Lars Ranthe (The Hunt), Molly Blixt Egelind (Love is All You Need), Jon Lange (Something’s Rockin) and Kirsten Olesen (The Legacy).
Finding Home is set to premiere on TV2 in autumn 2018.
