Netflix Drops Supernatural Equinox Trailer

Netflix has unveiled its first trailer for six-part supernatural thriller Equinox, written by Tea Lindeburg based on her podcast Equinox 1985 about the mysterious disappearance of a school class.

Astrid is only nine years old in 1999 when a class of graduating students inexplicably disappears without a trace. Among the missing students is Astrid’s sister and from that moment on she is severely traumatised and plagued by horrific visions.

Fast forward to 2020 and Astrid is hosting a late night radio show when one of the three survivors from 1999 gets in touch and dies shortly thereafter. As her nightmares return, Astrid is determined to find out what happened to the missing class, only to discover a dark and unsettling truth that involves her in ways she never imagined.

Equinox is led by Danica Curcic as adult Astrid, alongside Lars Brygmann (Dicte) and Hanne Hedelund (Borgen) as her parents, with the cast rounded out by Karoline Hamm, Fanny Leander Bornedal, August Carter, Ask Emil Mossberg Truelsen, and Alexandre Willaume.

Equinox, directed by Søren Balle, premieres 30th December on Netflix.
