Netflix Drops Trailer For Anxious People Hostage Comedy

Netflix has released a trailer for Anxious People (Folk med ångest), directed by Felix Herngren (Bonus Family), a new Swedish comedy drama based on the book by Fredrik Backman (A Man Called Ove) that launches on the streaming service next month.

Anxious People begins with a hostage drama when a bank robber, having failed to rob a cashless bank, locks himself in with eight people at an open house event. In the end the robber gives up and lets everyone go, but when dysfunctional police officers Jack and Jim storm the apartment it is found to be empty.

In a series of contradictory testimonies afterwards, the witnesses all tell their version of what happened in the apartment and the mystery deepens as to how the robber escaped, clouded by a common secret between the hostages that forms an almost unbreakable bond between them.

The cast includes Alfred Svensson as Jack, Dan Ekborg as Jim, Leif Andrée as Roger, Marika Lagercrantz as Anna-Lena, Carla Sehn as Julia, Petrina Solange as Ro, Anna Granath as Zarah, Per Andersson as Lennart, Lottie Ejebrant as Estelle, Sofia Ledarp as Maria and Shima Niavarani as Milou.

Anxious People premieres 29th December globally on Netflix.
