Netflix Drops Trailer For Danish Sci-Fi Chosen
Netflix has released a trailer for its new Danish original Chosen, a coming of age story about a girl who realises that the world is not as safe and blissful as she had once thought, which debuts next month.
Emma (Malaika Berenth Mosendane) has always felt different from anyone else in Middelbo – a small Danish town that became world famous when it was said that a meteor crashed into it 17 years before. Now, Middelbo is no longer what it once was, and the question is whether it had ever really been what it pretends to be at all?
When Emma accidentally discovers that the whole story of the meteor is a lie, a dangerous and improbable truth about the sleepy town reveals itself – something that is far more perilous and incredible than she could have ever imagined. But, in her hour of need, Emma comes to realise that she is on her own and neither her friends or society can save her.
The cast also includes Andrea Heick Gadeberg as Marie, Andreas Dittmer as Frederik, Albert Rudbeck Lindhardt as Mads, Mohamed Djeziri as Elvis, Magnus Juhl Andersen as Jonas, Anders Heinrichsen as Lukas, Line Kruse as Lykke, Henrik Prip as Hans, Marie Louise Wille as Susan, Ken Vedsegaard as Thomas and Nikolaj Kopernikus as Adrian.
Chosen, created by Christian Potalivo and Jannik Tai Mosholt (The Rain) launches 27th January 2022 on Netflix.
