Lieutenant Erling Riiser from the Armed Forces Special Commando Unit is heading home to Norway after a long tour in Afghanistan. Much has gone wrong, and many soldiers have been lost due to the lack of Hercules aircraft. After only one day in Norway Erling receives a text message: an acquaintance from Afghanistan is in Oslo, and a woman is in danger!

Riiser soon becomes a pawn in an international game of politics, and as the stakes grow higher he is forced to discover just how far he will go in the name of peace.
